Kalec and Anveena

This is the reunion that should have happened.
For those of you who don't know, Kalec (also known as Kalecgos in his dragon form) and Anveena are from the Warcraft lore, specifically the Sunwell Trilogy by Richard A. Knaak. In his true form he is a member of the Blue Dragon Flight, and she is the avatar of the leftover power of the Sunwell. Their adventures and story of how they fell in love are detailed in the series, ending with the two of them staying with the elves to help rebuild what is left of Quel'thalas.
In the World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade expansion however, Kel'thas, the prince of the high elves, returns full of demonic magic and discovers Anveena, a huge source of power. He kidnaps her and tries to undo her being in order to open a portal for a very evil demonic force, Kil'jaeden. Players can help Kalec and the blue flight try to rescue her and stop the portal from opening, but in the end, it is only when Anveena sacrifices herself to disrupt the portal that the story ends.
Tragic love story. Bummer. I always loved this couple, and hate that Blizzard had to end it that way. It makes sense, but I much would have preferred to see a reunion as Kalec rescues his love from the prison above the sunwell. I imagine it would have looked something like this.
